Hello all! National Poetry Writing Month is on! It’s the time when poets from all around the world exhibit their love for the art of poetry writing. 😄
My poem for Day 21 is titled Life of a Writer. It’s a basic rhyming poem. My energy is exhausting now. Only 9 more days to go! All the creativity is drying up, and it’s showing up in the quality of my poems, that’s going down with every passing day, haha. Here, I’ve just tried to write about my present conditions. Have a look!
Staring into space
With unfocused eyes,
Thoughts bombarding
On the brick walls of mind.
Unfinished drafts of poetry
Lay discarded in a pile,
No new ideas, not even
A new imagery strikes.
Striving all day long
To find the right rhyme,
Waiting for that ‘Ahaa’
Moment to arrive.
That’s what the life
Of a writer feels like!
