Day 20 – Treachery

Hello all! National Poetry Writing Month is on! It’s the time when poets from all around the world exhibit their love for the art of poetry writing. 😄

My poem for Day 20 is titled Treachery. It’s a basic rhyming poem about a personal heartbreaking incident that happened a few days back. 😿 Have a look!

Fire of vengeance burns within,
My heart is shattered tonight,
Hear this tale of how my family,
Betrayed me in those testing times.
How they murdered my confidence,
Clipped away my growing wings,
I’ll never ever forgive them for how,
They backstabbed me for trivial things.
Oh, my blood boils even thinking of,
Their affections and smiles, all pseudo,
How they forgot our love, our bonds, and
Brutally killed my dear pawn in Ludo!
😫
