Day 4 – A Hand to Hold

Hello all! National Poetry Writing Month is on! It’s the time when poets from all around the world exhibit their love for the art of poetry writing. 😄

My poem for Day 4 is titled- A Hand to Hold. It’s a Triolet poem. There are only 2 rhymes and the first two lines repeat throughout. This is the structure:

FIRST LINE
SECOND LINE
new line, rhymes with first line
FIRST LINE
new line, rhymes with first line
new line, rhymes with second line
FIRST LINE
SECOND LINE

I found this style the easiest out of all the ones that I’ve tried previously. Have a look!

A hand to hold,
Under The moonlit night.
Love, that never grows old,
A hand to hold,
When the world turns cold.
Sets everything right,
A hand to hold,
Under the moonlit night.

  1. Chandu, this is one of the most beautiful things I’ve read today. And the way you’ve explained. Wow.

I was actually seeing above, first line, then reading it😋🤪😂
