Hello people! How have you all been? Firefly is back after a suuuper long vacation. I know nobody missed me so I won’t even ask, haha. You all must be wondering why am I even here after an era of procrastination! Here goes the story.
Yesterday, my brother started taunting me that why have you invested so much into your website when you’re not even writing. (And I knew he was right!) I was wasting away all my spare time watching YouTube when I could be posting something interesting here.
So, we had a bet that he would give me ₹10 every day I write a blog. However, every day that I don’t post anything, I have to give him ₹10! :O That’s so cruel! But I agreed, and this is why I made a comeback.
Right now, I’m feeling like that one student who’s back in class after three months of sick leave; the teacher has covered five new chapters, and out of all the students raising their hands, this one boy is asked to solve the question on the blackboard! So unfair! :/
I literally have nothing on my mind, so I’m just going to teach you the Tawa Pizza recipe I learned during the lockdown. (I had clicked some pictures, so thank God for that.)
But before starting, here are the rules. You can continue reading this post if:
- You like to cook and want to learn a new recipe, or
- You don’t cook but are interested in the recipe and the mouthwatering pictures of Pizza, or
- You have some recipe requests for me, or
- You are jealous of Firefly’s cooking skills and want to make fun of her. >_<
Warning: If someone comments ‘ Nice post’ on my blog without reading a single line, I swear, Firefly is going to light the comments section on fire today!
With the proportions mentioned in this recipe, you can make 3 medium-sized pizzas. So, let’s get started with our delicious, mouth-watering, lip-smacking Pizza Recipe!
How to Make Pizza Base:
The base of the Pizza is the most important part. If this goes wrong, everything goes wrong. So, you will need the following ingredients to make a Pizza base.
- 1 cup of curd
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp sugar
Add all these into a large bowl and keep mixing till it gets frothy. Now, add 1.5 cups of Maida (or more according to your requirements) and keep kneading and to form a dough.
(Apologies for the bad picture. I just realized that I could write a recipe blog when the last pizza was left to be made. :P)
Cover the dough and keep it aside for around 15-20 minutes. In the meantime, we’ll be preparing pizza sauce.
How to Make Pizza Sauce
This one is quite easy. You’ll need:
- Tomato Sauce
- Oregano
- Chilli Flakes
- Ajinomoto (Chinese Salt)
- Black Pepper
- Red Chilli
- Pasta Masala (if available)
Add all these into a bowl and mix well. Your hot, tangy, spicy pizza sauce is ready!
How to Make Pizza Stuffing
Okay, so you can easily create anything in just 5 minutes out of some basic vegetables, and that will be acceptable for pizza stuffing.
First, we will heat some oil in a pan and add some chopped onions to it. I’m not specifying how many because you can judge that according to your requirements
Add chopped capsicum to it and stir for a while. Next, add grated paneer to this mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame. You can other vegetables of your choice as well.
For the masala, you can add ajinomoto, pasta masala, red chilli powder, salt, black pepper, and whatever else you wish to add. Your pizza stuffing is ready.
Now we can start the pizza assembling process.
I don’t have any pictures for this part, so you just need to follow the steps.
Grease a pan with oil and then spread the pizza dough in it. Stretch it over to the edges so that it covers the entire area. Now, take a fork and randomly add marks all around the pizza base. Finally, spread pizza sauce on it like this.
Now evenly spread the stuffing on top of the sauce.
How to Make Pizza Topping
Finally, for the topping, you can cut onions, tomatoes, capsicum and green chillies as shown in the image below.
Decorate the pizza with these veggies and then comes the most awaited part. Cheeeeese! <3
Sprinkle lots of cheese on top of the pizza and then put the pan on the gas.
Cover it with a lid/plate that properly covers the whole pan. Cook in on low flame for around 8-10 minutes.
Keep on checking if the pizza base turns brown. Place the pizza on a plate and sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes over it. Finally, you’ll behold the masterpiece, the kind of all food items, the Perfect Pizza made at home. Go ahead and enjoy it, haha!
I hope you all liked this recipe blog. Do you want me to bring more of these? If you all are interested in learning some Sindhi dishes, we can plan on starting a ‘Firefly Cooks’ Series. Do let me know your views in the comments section below. Criticism is also allowed. :/ Thanks.
Cheers to new beginnings (which I keep on making every few months!). This is Firefly signing off! Keep shining, keep cooking and stay safe! Thanks for reading. I’ll be back with another crazy idea in the next post.
Damn😋😍
I like burger more so bring that one in the series too🤟
Haha, thankyou Ayush. 🤠 Haven’t tried making burger yet, but I can try. You go and write more poems. 😼👊
Okay okay 🙂
Aagaya post😂
Ji haan. Abi WordPress pe wapas adjust hone mein time lagega. Tab tak humare stupid posts enjoy kijiye. 🥳
Reading your pizza recipe makes me crave for a pizza.
Save me a slice when you bake it next!
It’s so much fun reading your introduction, I enjoy it more than the pizza recipe. How your brother made you write this for 10Rs, that’s hillarious 😂
We do such stupid things at home too😄
Hahaha, definitely. You’re definitely invited next time for a Pizza treat at Firefly’s place. 🥳
Exactly! That was such a challenging task. I’m already in debt of some 40-50₹. 😿 Regular blogging is so tough. Roz roz bakwaas likhna chalta nahi hai naa. Quality should be there.
Haha, I would love to know what stupidities you guys do at home. Do let me know. 😂
I am up for pizza anytime!
I hope you recover from your debts soon😂
Tell me someday when you’re free, I have thousands of stories with me about them.
Chinese salt!!!???
You are anti national 😅.
Wait now. Let me finish first.
10 rs. That’s a huge amount to bet on.
Hainaaa! I’m in almost 100₹ debt now. 🤦🏾♀️ Won’t be able to repay in a lifetime! Ek din mein 10 posts likh du toh hi recover ho sakta hai. 😹
That’s a huge amount to pay back. Bring the higher authority into the matter. Start forming allies. Whom your brother fears the most? Mom Or dad? And rest you know the drill.
These higher authorities are not on my side. Everyone keeps on telling me ki likh kuch. My mom just finished reading my chess wala post 2 minutes back. Will respond with a comment tomorrow. 😹 I have to work hard and get back in the game warna writing would leave me stranded. 🤦🏾♀️
All i can say is Good Luck 👍
😄 Thanks a lot!
Pizza looks delicious.
Shukriyaa! 😁 I’ve been learning some hostel wale quick 2 minute recipes from my cousins. What do you have in your suitcase? Recipe blog likho na. I’m interested. 😃
I too have dishes to post about😉. But i lack the format and chronology on how to write plus mai apne blog ko khana-khajana nahi banaunga😅
Huh, Firefly ke post se seekh ke likhna try karo na. Just one recipe. 🧐 Khana khajana famous ho jayega dekhna. If it’s good, I’ll promote it to my friends also. You won’t need #selfpromotion 😎 then.
That’s a fair trade then; you promoting my blog post.
*Only if I find it good enough. 🧐
Hahaha.. Alright! 😁
Okay then, I’ll be waiting for two posts from your end. All the best! And Goodnight! 😸
To you too🙂
Thanks! 😁👊
Ilzaaam nahi lagaao aise galat galat hum pe. 🙀 Chinese bhi jab Indian food banate hain na toh humara namak daalte hain. I know it. 😼
Hahaha, liking your comment from the WP app installed in a Chinese mobile company.
Hahaha, seee cheaters are all around. 👊😹🤦🏾♀️
