I remember waking up confused,
In that dark and lonesome cellar.
Which reeked of all things rotten, that,
Hadn’t been cleaned in a hundred years.

I could hear grieving voices above,
Saw a light shine from the corner.
I dashed up through that open door,
And found women huddled together.

All dressed in white satin sarees,
Some sat dejected, some did pray.
They cried many a crocodile tears,
And I wondered who had passed away!

Between them perched a photo frame,
That swept the floor off my wobbly feet.
Decorated with garlands of fresh flowers,
Oh, oh that photo looked exactly like me!

I couldn’t believe what my eyes just saw,
So I ran in through the back door, in unrest.
Found my mom, she was shocked and confused,
Said “Beta you are gone, Now stay,
In your room. You’ll scare the guests.” 🀣

This poem recalls one of the strangest dreams I’ve ever had! What strange dreams have you people had? Do let me know in the comments section. Or, better write a poem about it, haha!

Take care, people! Keep shining. This is Firefly signing off! πŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

  1. 😊 I remember you shared this dream with me . You can make poem on this πŸ˜‚ i never thought . You have the power to express anything and everything πŸ‘and till the end we can not realise what it is πŸ€“ God bless you, live long life with happiness, joy and your passion . Be helpful to others as always . This is the real meaning of life πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜

    1. Haha, yes Mumma. It was such a horrible dream naa. I was so shocked how you could see me alive and say jaa room me jaake baith. 😹😹

Thankyou so much, people here say the same for me. It’s my unique style I guess. 🀣 I’m trying to be kind, hehe. Thankyou and love you Maa. It’s all because of you. Your support is my inspiration. ☺️β™₯️

  2. Really a strange dream indeed! But was interesting as well. We all experience something similar once in a while. Great Post! πŸ‘πŸ™‚

    1. Yes, it was veryyy weird. I remember nothing. This happened a while back. Our thoughts really have some connection with our dreams, right? I remember when I used to read Harry Potter day and night, I used to visualise the same things in my dreams as well. πŸ˜‚

  3. Nidhi Mangwani

U took me from cliffhanger😯 to a burst of laughterπŸ€ͺ ! Your art of writing must be appreciated ❀️.

    1. Haha, thankyou so much, Nidhi. I’m really glad you liked this poem. πŸ€— And I must say, your YouTube channel is very helpful and informative. I’m learning so many new words everyday, especially today’s lesson on Portmanteau words was really cool. Keep growing, girl! More power to you. 🀠

  4. Not quite a dream, but I had a really wierd case of sleep paralysis the other night. (Sleep paralysis is when you wake up, but you’re still kinda dreaming and you can’t move your body. Probably only lasts 30 seconds or so, but it can feel longer.)

Your poem was interesting enough to hold my attention till the last line. Here’s one I wrote ’bout a beautiful dream. Give it read

    “Burning fire
    A light in the dark
Shining day and night for me
    Gentle air blowing
    Caressing my face
Carry me into dreams of love
    Wasn’t it you
    Who was filling my dreams?”

    1. Ooohh! I’ve experienced that kind of thing before. It’s really weird, not like the usual dreams and stuff.

Aww! You just arrived on my blog and you decided to write a poem. How sweet of you, Mr Sean!! πŸ€“

Loved this poem, it’s so soothing and beautifully crafted. πŸ₯° If you’re a real person Sean Tucker, I’d really like a reply on this comment. I’m realllly liking this game. 🀣😈
